The Standard Hotel
The glass hotel that straddles the High Line
In brief
A hotel in the Meatpacking District built over the park itself, with floor-to-ceiling glass in the rooms. Its reputation rests on the eighteenth-floor drinking venues. The rooftop bar is open to the public, but reservations are required and staying in the hotel guarantees you nothing.
Compiled from public sources — not my own note.
Good to know
- The rooftop needs a reservation and is twenty-one and over.
- The famous top-floor room now opens only for private events.
- There's a beer garden at ground level under the High Line.
