Trindade Brewery
A beer hall in a convent refectory
In brief
In Chiado, in the refectory of a former convent: Portugal's oldest brewery, running since 1836. The walls are lined with nineteenth-century azulejo panels and the room is listed among the city's cultural heritage. It's touristy and priced accordingly — the draw is the room rather than the cooking.
Compiled from public sources — not my own note.
Good to know
- There are two rooms — worth asking for the tiled one.
- Open daily from noon to midnight.
