If you'd rather taste Brunello beside the family that makes it than at a tourist counter, this is the address. Unlike the big estates around Montalcino it's small and family-run, and you talk to the person who made the wine. I'd suggest making an appointment — a producer this size can't set a table for everyone who turns up.

Not a tourist tasting — a family's own vineyard
Good to know
- Visits are by appointment; writing a few days ahead is enough.
- If you're coming from Montalcino, mid-day works well; the roads are narrow and slow.
What to order
